The Belgrave Music Hall is a beloved venue in Leeds and isn’t just a music venue. This place has a bar, coffee shop, and a bunch of delicious food stands that will have your mouth watering as soon as you enter.

Try out the pizza at Dough Boys or grab a dirty burger over at Patty Smiths, then wash it all down with a tasty local craft beer. Lots of local and international bands play here and it’s the perfect place to spend an evening.

When the weather is good, make sure to head on up to the roof terrace for a stunning view over the city that just can’t be beaten.

2. Visit the Tetley

If you’re an art buff, make sure to check out The Tetley, a contemporary art gallery that now lives in the former Tetley brewery in Leeds. They have regular rotating exhibitions showcasing the best of local and international art that makes for a great day out.

They also have a stunning bar and restaurant on site which is perfect to stop off for a quick drink in or treat yourself to a delicious meal sometime. It’s worth the visit just to check out the building and you’ll be sure to come back again.

3. Go Shopping at the Trinity Centre

Leeds is a great city to shop till you drop and there are student discounts to be had pretty much everywhere here. You’ll find the Trinity Centre on Briggate Street, the main shopping complex, and whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find here.

It’s a Leeds student right-of-passage to take part in the Otley Run at least once, and you’ll have so much fun doing it even if you’re not a drinker.
