Find out all you need to know about Black Friday, and what to look out for, with our handy article.

Which stores take part?

Pretty much all of the big stores take part in Black Friday. The likes of Amazon, Argos, Currys and John Lewis are all confirmed to be taking part. These kinds of stores will be offering discounts on Electricals, homeware, clothing and other goods. Stores such as boots will be offering discounts on all sorts of health and beauty items too.

Which stores don’t take part?

Generally, some smaller stores may not take part in Black Friday sales. Others may have sales, but may just call them by something else, so as not to be seen to be participating in Black Friday. So that’s something to look out for. Apple is one retailer notorious for not taking part in Black Friday.

What to look out for?

Most retailers will have a rolling schedule of offers that are only valid for certain days or even time periods. Sites such as Amazon are well known for their flash deals. If you have something in mind that you want to purchase, be sure to keep checking different websites throughout the day.

Another good idea is to keep checking your emails for any flash or invite-only sales as well. Many online retails such as Levis and Asos offer access to sales this way.
