It’s no surprise that proficiency is considered an asset in our internationalised world.  The good news is that many universities now offer languages as electives which you can choose among your main study subjects.

This one is a more obvious one as it gives you the chance to either gain direct experience in your field, or if in an area different than your studies, it can assist you in improving your soft skills.

Additionally, undertaking a part-time job during your studies helps you earn extra money. It can also be a great way of meeting new people and making friends.

 keep an open eye for the work placements and internship opportunities that may be available to you. This option is also a very effective way of enhancing your professional profile. Moreover, it gives you the chance to gain direct and practical experience in your field.
