Become a freelancer

If you have a bit of a creative spark in you, you could always put your creative skills to work and become a freelancer. Freelancers are able to take work from a variety of different clients and work on various different projects all at once. This could include writing articles for another business, doing some design work to freelance photography. Sites like Fiverr and Upwork are a great place to start your freelance journey.

Vintage fashion is big business these days, and if you have an eye for fashion, a flair for sewing, and a keen business eye, then this could be the business idea for you. You’ll need to be adept at spotting and picking up fashion bargains at the likes of charity shops, depop and vintage fairs. You’ll then need to restyle or repurpose them and then sell them on for a profit. Sounds easy right? Be sure you know what the market wants before you start.

App design

In the past decade, apps have become a big part of everyday life. There is an app for almost everything, some more useful and popular than others, but if you can spot the right gap in the market, creating an app could be for you. You’ll more than likely need to be quite proficient in the kinds of skills needed to develop an app. It won’t be easy, but if you manage to develop an app, and make it big, the rewards will be off the scale.
