The Mumbles is a fantastic little seaside village running along Swansea Bay and if you’re a foodie, make sure to try out the food here.

All the seafood served here is caught locally by the bay and you can taste how fresh each dish is. The Mumbles Oyster Festival runs annually and it’s definitely worth trying out. When you’ve finished your seafood, make sure to grab an ice cream from one of the many local parlours.

Swansea is a port city and the Swansea Marina is a hub of activity that you must be sure to check out. Right along the River Tawe, Swansea Marina has a stunning view over the water. There are a lot of boats for you to admire and it’s a great place to grab an ice cream and catch a sunset.

5. Check Out Uplands

Uplands is an award winning area of Swansea as it has won the title of hippest area in the UK. If that’s your kind of vibe, this is the place for you to be.

If you’re looking for a great place to drink, get yourself along to Uplands Tavern. It’s a hotspot for live music and performances and everything is reasonably priced here too. With quirky spots like Noah’s Yard, Whitez and Uplands Diner, there’s always something eye catching to enjoy here.
