The Tate, Liverpool

The Baltic, Gateshead
The Baltic has become one of the most famous landmarks of the North East ever since it reopened its doors as an art gallery in 2002. It’s the biggest art gallery of its kind in the world and with regular exhibitions every month, no two visits here are the same.
With work from artists from all around the world as well as local artists being shown here, you get to experience a wealth of different contemporary art.
Make sure to set aside a couple of hours when you come here, as you’re sure to get lost as you explore each exhibition. Also, remember to head out onto the viewing platform to snap a picture over the Tyne River for what is surely the best view over Newcastle!
