Sheffield, once an industrial powerhouse of the UK, has had something of a renaissance in recent decades, and is just a short distance away from Leeds. The city has seen a transformation from an industrial hub into a creative and cultural one

The Yorkshire Dales

Encompassing 2,179 km², The Yorkshire Dales covers a vast amount of God’s own Country (Yorkshire as it’s known by you and me). Most of the area is part of the Yorkshire Dales National park, meaning that there’s plenty of unspoilt landscapes to explore.

Students flock to the town in fancy dress to start a day-long pub crawl that eventually takes you back to Leeds to head out for the rest of the night. This is a long, but fun day out with friends.

Hebden Bridge

Located just 50 minutes away by rail, the pretty West Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge is a great visit for fans of heritage and historic countryside. Bring your bike and cycle along the Calderdale Way, a 50 mile cycle route that passes by the town.
