Studying abroad is a rite of passage for many young people, but it’s also a big step in their lives. For many, though it’s a really exciting time in their lives, and why wouldn’t it be? You get to jet off and live and breathe a new country. Not only will you learn about a new country and study in a new institution, you’ll learn a lot about yourself too.

1. It’ll look good on your CV

If you’re travelling to a country where they don’t speak your language, see it as a good opportunity to learn a new one! It’ll be a good chance to challenge yourself, as well as gain a skill for life.

3. Make some new friends

 

Whenever you move somewhere new, you’re bound to make new friends. Many of you will be in a new place or city for the first time, so will be in the same boat together. You’ll probably find that you make some friends for life.

4. You’ll get bitten by the travel bug

 

If this is your first time living and studying abroad, don’t be surprised if you find that you want to go on and travel some more! Just be sure to save up whilst you’re studying so you can go travelling in the future.
