These days, there is all number of relaxation and de-stress apps out there to help you take control. There are so many out there, but which are the best ones out there for students? Here are our five apps for relaxation to help you focus and stay chilled out.

The relaxation and mindfulness app that almost everyone has heard of, Headspace is well known for good reason. The app is able to personalise completely around you and then help you along with your own personalised program. The app teaches you relaxation and meditation techniques. The full library of techniques and programs isn’t available for free, you can only access them via a monthly subscription, so bear this in mind if you’re on a budget.

Smiling Mind

 

Smiling Mind is a great free app to help to take control of your own mental and emotional wellbeing. This leading free meditation app has been developed by psychologists and educators to help you take control of your life. There are several different programs to choose from targeting different themes and issues. You only need to spend 10 minutes a day to start seeing a difference, too, so you’ll be able to easily fit this app round your busy life.

Sleep Cycle

 

Sleep Cycle is great for helping you learn to sleep better and understand how you sleep. The app monitors your sleep patterns and offers statistics and sleep graphs to help you understand how you sleep. You can also set an intelligent alarm clock to gently wake you up when you’re in the lightest stage of sleep. Rude awakenings will be a thing of the past with this app.

Journey

 

Journey is an app that allows you to keep an online journal each and every day. Just like writing a diary each day is good for your mental health, Journey allows you to do all of this from your phone. The good thing about Journey is that it can be used across multiple devices. You can even complete a journal entry via email if you’re away from your phone. You’ll be able to track your own journey each and every day with the app, and see how you grow and change over time. You can even export your journal to a word document too.
