Firstly, try and think about what you’re looking for. Think about what kind of accommodation you’re looking for. Consider factors such as cost, location, affordability, amongst others. It is important that you put the time into researching what there is available.
Reach out to friends who have been in similar positions, to see what they did when they had to find last minute student accommodation. They may then be able to point you in the right direction or even help you to consider something that you may not have even thought of.
We’ve put together a thorough student housing guide to help students decide, especially in light of COVID-19 and the factors that you should take into account.
Student forums can also be handy to canvas the views of others who are or who have been in a similar situation as you. You can post your own questions, in the hope that others will be able to help you answer any questions you may have.
You can also search through posts from other students who have been in a similar situation as you. The Student Room is a good place to start.
There may also be similar groups on social media sites, such as Facebook groups, that you can join and ask questions.
Finally, you could always ask us! Here at StudyFlats, we’re here to help you through the process of finding last minute student accommodation, regardless of having any available accommodation or not.
