5. Newcastle upon Tyne
Newcastle is the northernmost city in the UK and is renowned for having the most cultural venues per head than any other UK city. This city is famous for its vibrant nightlife, iconic landmarks, and many bridges.
The people here are some of the friendliest in the UK and have very thick accents that may be hard to understand at first, but that’s all part of the fun! It has so many amazing bars, cafes, restaurants and more to enjoy here, and it’s all very easy to navigate.
It also has a Metro service which will take you to the stunning North East coastline where you can enjoy fish and chips on the beach and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
