Your university professors are there to help you with your assignments, support your studies, and mentor you throughout your degree. They are incredibly important people to know and they can help you in a lot of different ways. Without them, your degree may not be so easy to achieve.

1. Show Up to Classes Late

2. Keep Your Phone On Hand
When you talk to your professors or you’re sitting in their class, don’t feel like you should put your phone away. We live in a connected world now, and professors understand that you have other things going on outside of their class.
If you need to spend some time texting or scrolling through social media, your uni professor will totally understand. They won’t think it’s rude at all and it’s sure to show them that you’re a busy person with lots going on.
3. Send Informal Emails
Your professors should be able to treat you like a friend and vice versa, so make sure to do away with the formalities in emails. Don’t worry about swearing or using slang and informal terms in your emails, who does that with friends anyways?
This shows your professor that you don’t conform to society and that you’re a cool, interesting person to be around. They’ll look forward to getting emails from you and will definitely form a strong opinion about you from them.
4. Ask for Favours
Sometimes, we end up needing to ask favours from our university professors. We might need an extension on an assignment or a re-do of an exam that we failed on.
From the get go, make sure to ask your professors for lots of favours. Let them know that you’re someone who goes for what they need and isn’t afraid to ask for help. Plus, when you know that you’ll be getting an extension anyways, you don’t need to worry about your assignments the first time around!
5. Don’t Participate
Seminars are times when everyone from the class gathers and it’s more like discussion-based lessons. They tell you that they want you to participate, but that’s really unnecessary.
If you’re having a bad day or a hangover, or just don’t feel like talking, don’t feel like you need to contribute. After all, you’re paying thousands of pounds each year to be there, why should you have to participate if you don’t want to? It shows your professor that you’re listening rather than talking and lets them know that you really care about what they’re talking about.
